All are invited to join us for live glass blowing demonstrations with guest artist Verity Jasmin Burley on the Poatina Hot Glass Trailer at the Tasmanian Craft Fair in Deloraine. Find us at Venue 7 (Deloraine Showgrounds) on the grass adjacent to the food area and bus stop.  CLICK HERE to find out more about Verity and see photos of her glass work.

Make your own Paperweight 30 Minute Experience

This year the trailer will also be offering a hands-on "Make your own Glass Paperweight" experience for up to 2 people each day from 4pm-5pm (except for Monday).  Cost is $60 and bookings are essential.  Get a taste for working with hot glass through this fascinating 30 minute experience.  A skilled glass blower will guide you to choose colours and use ancient tools and techniques to sculpt the core of your paperweight and shape the final piece into something you'll love showing off to your friends and family.  The paperweight you make will be available to collect (after it has cooled overnight in the kiln) during the afternoon of the following day, or postage can be arranged at extra cost.  They make a great Christmas or birthday gift for that person you know will appreciate something unusual that you've made yourself!
